Beaches…I don’t have to go far for them, Lisbon has wonderful beaches just 15 minutes away! It is wonderful to live in a city where one has the feeling of being on holidays ever day.
Today I will dedicate this theme to my favorite coast line that goes from Comporta, some 100kms south of Lisbon (Alentejo Coast) to Óbidos, some 140 kms north of Lisbon (East Coast), Portugal. Dramatic cliffs, kilometers long sandy beaches, sand dunes and cluster of fisher villages are the trade mark of these two regions.
I love these photos! Now I have even more Portuguese beaches to check out.
800kms of Atlantic and some 300 of Mediterranean to enjoy :)
wonderful I love the parasoles waving in the wind.
thx :)
Nice set of images for the challenge.
thx L&P!! :)
Great photos!
Lisbon has beaches? Hurrah, we have to go back yet again.
10 minutes away towards the Tagus River mouth starts the beaches!
Beautiful Images!
Thx MV :)
These are all wonderful! I especially like the Peniche shot!

There are some terrific photos here. No. 2,5 and 10 are my favourites. The one with all those people walking into nothing is fabulous.
thanks! Pic 10 was taken at 8:30 in the morning with the cool morning mist still hanging over the skyline. This beach is some 8kms long with not a soul to speck it. Was an awesome day trek.
Fabulous photography! The beaches of Portugal are something special, for sure! The one at Lagos is a favourite of ours and was my screensaver for years.
The Algarve has stunning beaches too. Actually the whole coast is gorgeous! Thanks for your comment ;)

Hello! Don’t think our paths have crossed before but these are just the kind of beaches I love. I’ve seen those flowers on the beach on Tavira Island. Sao Juliao looks gorgeous. I was in Obidos 2 years ago but didn’t make it to the beach. (it was a grey day anyway, but I was on my way to Tomar for the Festa dos Tabuleiros) It’s a beautiful country. :)
Yes, Portugal is a beautiful country with many contrasts and much to visit.
