It’s Summer time and many think mostly about the wonderful 943 kms of the Portuguese coastline with it’s extensive sandy beaches and rugged cliffs.
But Portugal has much more to offer, inland overlooking bucolic landscapes, rocks and vegetation that stretches as far as the eye can see, river beaches offer a refreshing alternative for a swim in natural surroundings. Worth a visit!
SANDOMIL’s River Beach, near Seia at the feet of “Serra da Estrela” mountain ridge is one of my favorite spots. Alva River is dammed near a Roman bridge to create an idyllic, shady swimming area.
Nice Picture. Missed you!!! M :-)
Nice to note that I’ve been missed :) Thx!!
